What is the Fart Together Demo?
The Fart Together Demo is a separate, free Steam download that went live on 8 Oct 2026. It lets you install a trial build without buying the Early Access listing for the full game. This page covers install steps, Steam Next Fest context, review numbers with an as-of date, and gaps we could not verify on the store. We have not run the demo ourselves.
For the full game pitch, see what is Fart Together. For Early Access boundaries (including Team Race), see early access guide.
How do I download the Demo on Steam?
Open the Demo store page while logged into Steam and click the standard “Download Demo” control.
- Go to https://store.steampowered.com/app/5208630/Fart_Together_Demo/
- Sign in to the Steam client or browser with the account that should own the install.
- Click Download Demo (wording may vary slightly by locale; same behavior as other Steam demos).
- Install from your Steam Library under Fart Together Demo.
PC requirements on the demo page match the main game’s spec sheet for practical purposes; see system requirements for the full minimum and recommended tables plus the stable internet note for online co-op.

What does Steam show for Demo reviews?
As of 24 Oct 2026, the Demo listing shows 472 user reviews at 89% positive (Very Positive). Those numbers apply only to the Demo store page, not the main Early Access listing, which still showed no user reviews for the paid app at the time we verified. Do not mix the two URLs in blog posts or FAQs.
Review counts change daily; always glance at the live demo page before citing stats in Discord or streams.
Is the Demo tied to Steam Next Fest?
GamesMrkt publicly tied the demo to October 2026 Steam Next Fest, and the demo page links to Valve’s Next Fest hub.
For exact festival hours, third-party fest trackers often cite Valve’s usual window 19 Oct – 26 Oct 2026 (10:00 PDT). That end date is player-reported, not copied from a GamesMrkt post word-for-word. Confirm on https://store.steampowered.com/sale/nextfest if you are scheduling a stream on the last festival day.
Steam does not say the demo becomes unavailable when Next Fest ends. With no delist notice on the page, do not treat the demo as fest-only.

What content is confirmed in the Demo?
Steam and shared store assets confirm a free Demo, online co-op feature tags, and the same 2–4 player co-op pitch as the full game.
| Item | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free Demo download | Listed | Demo store page |
| Online co-op feature tags | Listed | Multi-player, Co-op, Online Co-op on Demo and main game |
| 2–4 player store copy | Listed | Full game and Demo pages describe co-op for 2–4 players |
| Physics obstacle course with shared raft | Listed | Store text and official screenshots |
| Windows PC | Listed | Steam lists Windows only |
Still not spelled out on the store pages we checked:
- Full list of demo-only courses versus Early Access courses
- Whether Team Race or eight-player modes appear in the demo (Early Access FAQ says Team Race is not in the EA build; demo scope is not itemized)
- Exact matchmaking or invite UI steps (how to invite friends lists the gap)
- Controller remapping charts (controls covers verified prompts only)
- Save transfer into Early Access when you buy the full game (not confirmed)
Use the demo to test headcount questions for your group, especially solo and three-player starts, which Steam leaves open. Our how many players page explains why.

How does the Demo relate to Early Access?
Early Access for the main game starts 29 Oct 2026 at 17:00 UTC; the demo is a parallel free download, not a substitute for buying Early Access. Steam has not published a purchase price for the Early Access app yet; see price for how the store page lists pricing today.
Demo-to-Early Access progress transfer has not been announced on the store page or in Steam news we reviewed. Check the live Demo page, the main store page, and GamesMrkt announcements before assuming saves or unlocks carry over. (not confirmed)
After Early Access opens, you can keep the demo installed if you want a lightweight build for friends who have not purchased yet. Steam does not force an either/or choice in writing.

The video is titled Demo Trailer on the official GamesMrkt channel. Use it to preview tone and hazards, not as proof of every Early Access feature.
What should I do after the Demo?
If you liked the chaos, read Early Access scope before wishlisting; if co-op failed, fix connectivity before Oct 29.
- Release date for unlock time zones on 29 Oct 2026.
- Early access guide for the 2–3 month EA expectation and Team Race exclusion.
- Beginner guide for session flow using verified HUD labels only.
- Troubleshooting for generic online co-op checks (no fabricated error strings).
Last verified review stats and fest links should be refreshed after 26 Oct 2026 if Next Fest timing mattered to your audience.
